The Role:

The Procurement Manager will work with the Group Procurement Manager to achieve the objectives of the procurement within Property department focused on saving cost in acquiring goods and services, building up a dependable supply chain and ensuring policy compliance.

Key Performance Areas to include but not limited to

* Analyzing property spend and forecast procurement needs.

  • Work closely with property finance community to regularly review and analyse past spend
  • Identifying cost effective and dependable suppliers locally and/or internationally with focus on cost, quality, time and reliability
  • Analyse the forecasted spend and identify opportunities within high spending brands and/or categories in line with department overall objectives.
  • Build and develop a working relationship with approved suppliers to leverage economies of scale across different markets.
  • Monitor macro trends in supply cost and implement strategies of cost control.
  • Take initiative and provide guidance on new supplier implementations process across different operating market
  • Utilize appropriate supply chain systems to ensure store count expansion goals.
  • Managing and providing guidance on new supplier implementations process across multiple operating markets
  • Establish a trustful working relationship with all the stakeholders.
  • Work with Project Management and shipping Department to develop supplier performance review and feedback system.
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable supplies with end-users and suppliers to determine cause of problem and plan and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Assisting the property project management and finance teams in dealing with supply and supplier-related issues.
  • Design and implement procurement processes in line with the company property procurement policy
  • Regularly provide inputs towards improving the property procurement policy and its compliance
  • Responsible for maintaining the ethical standards of the Company including minimizing the environmental, health and safety risks in the workplace

Knowledge:

  • knowledge of sourcing & development in retail industry
  • Drafting and conducting tenders/ RFQ
  • Assessing new supplier capabilities
  • Sourcing and developing international suppliers.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience in strategic procurement program within similar large organization or 3-5 years experience in retail fit out contractor
  • Working knowledge of sourcing shop fit out
  • Knowledge of kitchen fitting is an advantage

Skills:

  • Analytical skills using M.S. Excel
  • Effective written and Oral English communication with Arabic as a plus.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Fast learner
