This position is a long-term annually renewable contract role with an initial duration of 12 months.
Our client is looking for a candidate with experience in design automation tests. Test Automation Engineersā duties include designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems. You should also be committed to developing skills in order to provide up-to-date solutions.
To be successful as a Test Automation Engineer, you should be exceptionally accurate and possess a superior mathematical aptitude. Ultimately, a top-notch Test Automation Engineer will be proficient in programming languages (Java or C# or Python or . Net) and have excellent time management skills.
Key responsibilities
- Designing and developing test automation scripts.
- Using test automation guidelines.
- Researching issues in software through testing.
- Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions.
- Programming in Java language
- Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Be part of an Agile team, participate in all Agile ceremonies & activities and be accountable for the sprint deliverable
- Support automating traceability of Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and Test cases through the integration of CI and BDD frameworks and tools;
- Design & build automation smoke, feature & regression tests;
- Prepare Automation Test Plans for Service Level Tests, Integration Tests, and UI tests as needed
Knowledge, skills & experience
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in API Automation development using Java and or Python.
- Experienced in building Test data APIs and Mocks; to implement test data-driven frameworks and support API Test automation and Integration Testing of interfaces.
- Extensive experience on Web and Mobile Automation using BDD/TDD Frameworks; and functional automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Cucumber, Protractor, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
- Hands-on Experience in Big Data technologies will have an advantage.
- Create and Maintain Automated Regression Test Packs, with source code management using tools like GitHub or Bitbucket; and CI tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on with Build and Continuous Integration (CI) system like Jenkins;
