Job Description:
To support the department in meeting the Treasury, banking and finance operations responsibilities in relation to applicable rules, regulations and guidance for GCC (with support from the Treasurer and internal stakeholders). Principally, this will take the form of undertaking day-to-day monitoring the adherence of the business, as well as assessing implications of new regulation and developing internal policies and processes to mitigate risks and take responsibility to maintain a broad range of operational risk processes. The Treasury Managers role will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Assisting the Treasurer in ensuring the company meets its banking compliance responsibilities in relation to the applicable governing rules and regulations
- Managing internal and external relationships and communication regarding Treasury related matters
- Assist and improve current processes and procedures and implement
- Assist in management of team members and supporting where necessary
- Manage and review external operational risk events and assess their impact and whether any adjustment to the control framework is required
- Review and provide quarterly reporting in respect of the status of all departmental procedures and their ongoing review status
- Knowledge of escrow banking & RERA rules and regulations and adhering to these rules
- Maintain Trust Account System as required by RERA and adhere to the rules and regulations of the regulatory authorities
- Manage the development and provision of training on banking compliance, sanctions, KYC’s, fraud prevention and AML matters to staff within the team and internal stakeholders as appropriate
- Assist internal stakeholders in meeting their regulatory requirements and represent banking compliance on the various project working groups, as requested
- Manage the documentation for onboarding with various banks/payment gateways
- Manage Treasury yearly audit documentation requirements
- Bank Account Management including bank mandates management and ensure renewal and updating the mandates and filing as needed on a timely basis
- Manage communication and liaising with the legal department on required documentation regarding corporate structure
- Manage communication and liaising with the banks, any regulatory authorities or any internal departments on finance operational queries
- Maintain Trust Account System as required by RERA and adhere to the rules and regulations of the regulatory authorities
- Manage daily cash position to ensure sufficient liquidity group-wide
- Cash forecasting, including preparation of consolidated cash flow forecasts
- Review records for all treasury related transactions
- Maintain Online Banking Systems and updating delegation of authorities and internal controls
- Managing existing loan facilities, regular compliance reporting and debt servicing
- Assist in building processes and procedures of the Treasury & operations function
- Assist in managing the Petty Cash function
- Any other reasonable task, project or responsibility set by and agreed with the Treasurer
Desired Skills & Expertise:
- Previous experience in managing a Treasury function
- Previous local experience necessary
- Previous experience in working in other areas of finance
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong understanding of finance operations
- Experience in managing banking relationships
- Strong understanding of banking compliance
- Strong understanding of how bank-to-bank payments work
- Strong Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Finance/accounting
- Charted accounting qualification
- Certificate in Treasury
