Job Description
- Develop and deliver a sustainable Inventory Management footprint across all entities of FE
- Review, prepare and manage effective policies and procedures which support the Inventory Management footprint and achieve optimized inventory efficiency
- Support Procurement led initiatives with effective inventory strategies and proposals
- Establish robust trend and forecasting analysis to support material planning and availability
- Develop practices to achieve 95% product availability balanced against minimized inventory levels and efficient re-order practices
- Manage inventory obsolescence and in collaboration with end users, prepare disposal recommendations as are appropriate
- Oversee periodic inventory counts targeted at 100% inventory accuracy
- Conduct internal audits ensuring operating compliance with policy and regulations
- Support external audit activity and ensure timely completion of corrective actions
- Ensure robust and concise data is continuously available to support management reporting and audit activity
As an ideal candidate, you must have:
- Institute of Supply Chain Management or similar
- Diploma in Warehouse & Distribution Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar Warehouse and/or Inventory Management positions
- Minimum of 2 year experience as an Inventory Controller within an FMCG manufacturing or similar environment
- Solid understanding of leading inventory management practices and techniques
- Demonstrable track record of creating optimized inventory solutions
- Excellent relationship management skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Creative – able to think ‘outside the box’ whilst meeting compliance requirements
- Proficient user of computer systems and MS Office (i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Detailed understanding of inventory modules within Oracle, Maximo & Eatec
- Fluent in English language both written and verbal
- Good standard of numeracy
