Job brief
We are looking for an Accountant to post financial transactions, handle end-to-end bookkeeping, prepare reports, and reconcile AP/AR with banking management.
Accountant responsibilities include managing financial documents and following procedures, reconciling bank statements, and coordinating with multiple teams. To be successful in this role, you should have previous UAE experience with accounting and a flair for perfection in your work.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions including preparation of invoices, posting, and tracking in accounting system
- Cross-team communication with logistics, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure smooth transaction flow
- Prepare commercial invoices, transactional and shipping documents
- Inventory aging management and stock movement reports
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments and petty cash
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 2+ Years UAE Work experience as an Accountant
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Tally or Focus ERP
- Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- M.com or relevant degree in Accounting or Finance
