OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The FP&A Manager, is a key member of the Midas Corporate Finance team and pivotal to the achievement of the financial results of the business.
Based in Dubai, the position oversees the financial monitoring of the Midas business performance with key focus on the annual budget, rolling forecasts, latest estimates, strategic plans and financial KPIs.
This position reports to the Head of FP&A, Midas acting as a key contact with Midas Regional Finance Leads based in Europe, Canada, GCC and the Sub-Continent and will be considered a leader of the Midas FP&A community driving FP&A initiatives, promoting best practices and elevating the professional competency of the FP&A function.
The role will support the commercial and financial strategic direction of the Midas Group globally while being based in Dubai, UAE.
Main responsibilities include:
- driving insightful analysis and financial visibility through financial modelling and scenario analysis to enable strategic and operational decision-making
- working closely with the regional Finance Leads, Business and Regional Heads to identify areas of opportunity and/or concern
- financial planning: including monthly/quarterly forecast and variance analysis, annual budgeting, strategic plans, and budget presentations
- providing recommendations and guidance on actions necessary to achieve financial targets, accelerate growth, manage cost
- advising controllers in building and maintaining dashboards and reports of key operating and financial performance indicators
- reviewing capital investment requests for retail and wholesale channel development to support growth initiatives
Team Leadership will involve:
- helping to clarify roles and responsibilities and to be proactive in development of team members
- promoting process improvements, standardization of templates and procedures within the team
- creating and promoting a positive and supportive work environment
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Required Experience:
- BA/BS degree Finance/Accounting or Business; CPA and/or MBA (or equivalent) preferred
- at least 10 years of experience of which minimum 4 yeas in financial controlling / FP&A, or similar environment
- strong base knowledge of accounting, finance, and operational principles
- solid budgeting/forecasting/reporting background and experience with managing multiple entities
- ability to grow, motivate and lead a team
- used to work under pressure, with deadlines and to manage different priorities and stakeholders
- proven ability to work with all levels of management and develop relationships
