JOB SUMMARY

The job of the Logistics & Customer Support Coordinator is established for the purpose of handling shipments for Wanhua’s customers in chemical industry, from the planning stage to the actual move to doing follow-up work after the delivery. This mainly includes international shipments. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, while also meeting the temperature/shelf life requirements of the product and making sure all of this happens in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

1.Ensure that we receive, in email/express, full shipment details for all consignments to ensure compliance with the appropriate regulations;

2.Classifying commodities, reviewing information from customers on their commodities and being able to classify it as chemical and then choosing the specific designation within that area;

3.Produce all documents necessary for the effective transport of any local, or international shipment, in compliance with any appropriate regulations;

4.Monitor all deliveries of consignments with international couriers to ensure that delivery occurs within the specified time frame in accordance with the monitoring procedure;

5.Ensure that all data that needs to be entered into the SAP System, and amended if needed;

6.Control costs and suppliers by ensuring the highest standard of service is procured at the most cost effective price to the company;

7.Be involved in the design and implementation of solutions to meet customer needs through liaison/consultation (if necessary) with other departments and remote offices;

8.Perform research into new routings and services to the maximum benefit of both customer and the Company;

9. Regular and timely attendance;

10.Accomplishes department and organization goals by completing related tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

1.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with clients, shipment agents, and colleagues within ME/Africa.

2.Direct logistics/customer service experience for at least 3 years

3.Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills

4. Ability to multi task, and able to handle a heavy and rapidly changing workload;

5. Ability to support Wanhua CSR team in China remotely;

6. Basic knowledge of logistics, courier or freight forwarding experience;

7. Import / Export / Customs knowledge;

8.Able to work both as part of a small team and complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision or guidance;

9.A high level of attention to detail in all aspects of their work.
