The IT Audit Manager will be responsible for delivering a full range of IT audit services to our clients, as well as all phases of assigned projects and engagement management for multiple clients. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for planning, direction, and completion of information systems audits and examination engagements. This includes the development and supervision of assigned staff members and assisting in client management and related practice development activities.
What you’ll be doing:
· You’ll be responsible for developing the approach to IT risk on a portfolio of clients and building and maintaining good working relationships with all colleagues and clients
· You’ll execute assigned client engagements from start to completion, which includes the overall planning, execution, direction, and completion of engagements and managing the engagements to budget
· You’ll proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
· You’ll assist Grant Thornton Partners and teams in the production of relevant proposals and business development meetings and calls, including designing the needed IT audit approach and showcasing of data analytics capability
· You’ll manage IT audit team members on specific assignments, with specific line management responsibility to ensure IT audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
· You’ll assist the partners in understanding IT audit risk, developing a data analytical approach and overall scope of IT audit services
· You’ll ensure that key matters which arise during the IT audit which were not identified at the planning stage are properly assessed and dealt with
· You’ll check that IT audit work papers been properly reviewed and that work is completed to budget and timetable
· You’ll manage, motivate and coach team members and provide feedback through regular communication and timely appraisal
· You’ll be responsible for delivering basic IT audit training to the non IT audit team
Who we’re looking for:
· 6+ years of related work experience in IT audit within a similar consulting practice, a Big 4 firm, or a large CPA firm servicing cross-industry clients is required
· You’ll have significant experience of undertaking external audits (i.e. IT General Controls) and / or IT internal audits
· You’ll be professionally qualified (CISA and / or ACA, CA, ACCA)
· You’ll understand risk management process & treatment – especially in terms of highlighting threats and raising recommendations to mitigate risks
· You’ll be familiar with key financial systems and supporting software including ERP
· You’ll have some exposure to data analytics software
· You’ll have experience developing and coaching less experienced team members in IT Audit and risk management
· You’ll have ability to supervise staff members and lead multiple projects simultaneously
· You’ll have exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
· You’ll have the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
· You’ll have the ability to document testing in a highly detailed and exacting manner
· You’ll have strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
· You’ll have excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
· You’ll have excellent computer software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
