Greet all guests in a genuinely warm and welcoming manner using eye contact, with a smile.

¨     Engage with all guests to understand there needs and requests, listen diligently and repeat all orders back to guests for confirmation.

¨     Provide orders to the bar/kitchen in as little time as possible and ensure these orders are prepared and delivered to the table as quickly as possible.

¨     Have a complete and total understanding of the preparation methods and timings of all food and beverage menu items.

¨     Have a complete and total understanding of all food and beverage table presentations, restaurant presentation, crockery, cutlery and glassware usage.

¨     Always remain calm in pressure situations and ensure guests are never aware of heightened stress levels during busy periods.

¨     Have a complete and total understanding of the point of sale operating system.

¨     Be flexible at all times and prepared to go to manual systems in the event of system breakdowns if needed.

¨     Ensures the restaurant, terrace, bar and entrance areas are always immaculately presented.

¨     Follow direction given by your immediate supervisory staff, the Restaurant Manager or any other senior management member within the Yas Acres Golf & Country Club.

¨     Ensure all food and beverage items are served as per the plating guidelines and beverage presentation standards on every occasion.

¨     Ensure all food and beverage crockery, glassware, cutlery and other service equipment is surgically clean at all times.

¨     Ensure all damages, breakages or breakdowns are reported to the Restaurant Manager, Supervisor or Director of Food and Beverage immediately.

¨     Ensure all food and beverage outlets and presentations are set and fully stocked at least thirty (30) minutes prior to the commencement of service.

¨     Ensure your company provided uniform is cared for as if it was your own, and worn in its entirety as directed by management each and every time.

¨     Ensure that you are on time for your rostered shift by being in uniform, in your outlet, ready for duty at least ten (10) minutes prior to the commencement of your rostered shift.

¨     Ensure your personal presentation is immaculate at all times, gentlemen must shave prior to every shift, ladies and gentlemen must shower prior to every shift and hair must be clean and tied back as directed by management.

¨     Assist with the movement of furniture when directed by your immediate supervisor or manager if needed.

¨     Assists with rotating stock, keeping displays clean and orderly.

¨     Assists with creating appealing displays if requested.

¨     Be active within your department and offer your thoughts and ideas on ways to improve service standards, efficiencies or raise revenues.

¨     Assists with monthly/quarterly physical inventories if requested.

¨     Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager.

¨     Must be prepared to work outdoors all year round if requested to do so.

¨     Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

¨     Attend all staff meetings, trainings and government required requests, as set out by your Restaurant Manager or the Human Resources department.

¨     Must be respectful and understanding of local customs and protocol at all times and abide by local laws.

¨     Maintain a professional image whilst on duty and outside of the Yas Acres Golf & Country Club.

¨     Must show an interest in golf and be prepared to attend training and information seminars when requested

¨     Undertake any other reasonable request made of you by your Restaurant Manager, Director of Food and Beverage or General Manager.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
