Role Details – Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Forecast and manage the technical budget for each film, identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies.
- Manage the relationship with the Technical Operations Department at the Studio.
- Responsible for all aspects of trailer and film delivery, from OV screeners to fully localized DCPs for release in all required formats, fully compliant with all local government censorship requirements.
- Maintain a 360˚, watertight approach to content security at all times.
- Review content at the earliest opportunity and advise on expected localization requirements.
- Provide weekly progress reports and status updates for all trailers and features to the Head of Sales & Distribution and wider team.
- Manage the censorship schedule to ensure timely feedback from the sensor boards to the Studio, proactively suggesting optimal edit solutions within budget and time constraints, that will protect the quality/commercial prospects of the film.
- Manage the subtitling/dubbing between local and regional vendors and the Studio.
- Oversee the tracking and returns for all physical HDDs (for cinemas/markets not yet using e-delivery).
- Ensure all studio systems are always kept up to date, from DCP orders to the TDL.
- Opportunity to support and contribute to the development of various in-house data projects.
Ad Hoc
- Attend film strategy sessions to contribute ideas to overall release plans.
- Support the Sales & Distribution Managers from an operational perspective regarding their shipping workflows for Trade Marketing materials.

Other Context (if Applicable)
- Pre-existing knowledge of Middle East censorship sensitivities is an added bonus, but full training will be provided. The candidate will bring the requisite technical and industry knowledge to the role and local context and requirements will be provided in the training.
Functional/Technical Competencies
- Strong understanding of technical workflows, including mastering, graphic localization, subtitling and, dubbing.
- Experience of operating in a regionally controlled structure, where developing strong relationships with other managers is essential.
- Experience in liaising with third-party agencies, Government agencies, and media preferred.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential, fluency in a second language (especially Arabic) is ideal but not essential.
- Strong IT literacy.

Minimum Experience
- At least 8-10 years of experience within the digital cinema industry, within one of the major regional mastering facilities, post-production houses, or a regional, theatrical technical department at a major Hollywood Studio. Ideally at a managerial level or similar.
Minimum Qualifications/education
- Degree holder or equivalent higher education.
